When I saw tapestry fabrics on the New York Fashion Week runways last year, I was a little skeptical. Anyone else?? All I could see was this 80’s style couch my parents passed down to me for my first apartment that I put a cover on to hide the outdated print. I was just not getting on board with that being an acceptable style for clothing. But, after finding this adorable tapestry mini skirt, and seeing how it can elevate an otherwise basic outfit, I’m TOTALLY down for the trend.
For me, the trick for the perfect mini skirt (other than finding a fun fabric or print) is the fit. If it’s too big, it makes you look larger than you are or won’t stay up, and if it’s too small, it’s an unflattering disaster. I was so excited that this skirt was true to size and fit like a glove. Also, the thick fabric was especially flattering and smoothing. I paired it with this adorable wrap cami to bring out the pink shades in the skirt. I’m totally in love with this cami too, by the way. I have it in black as well!
Happy Tuesday, y’all! It’s been a crazy week and it’s about to be even crazier because I leave for my move to Charleston in 2 days!! We’re picking up the truck and unloading my storage unit tomorrow. It still feels unreal, but I’m SO excited for this new chapter! Stay tuned for all my adventures to come!
