Have I ever talked about my movie obsession? I know I’ve definitely mentioned my love for Alamo Drafthouse, it’s where Mike and I go on most of our dates, but I’m not sure if I’ve ever fully explained how much I love movies. There’s just something about a good movie that can make you feel something. I get captivated by the characters, moved by the score, and enveloped by the beautiful screenplay. It’s not just entertainment, it’s an art. If I had the talent for it, I would have loved to have been a film director. In high school, I actually won an award in my media class for best music video (no big). It starred my best friend, Mandi, who played a love-struck Taylor Swift in “Our Song.” It was pretty great, if I do say so myself 😀 *haha*

By the way, this all came to me because I’m sitting here on a Friday night watching “The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 1.” Go ahead, cast your judgement, but I’m obsessed with dystopian stories. The Giver, We, Brave New World, Fahrenheit 451, Animal Farm, and yes, The Hunger Games. If you haven’t read any of these, then I seriously recommend them! I love thinking about how fragile the human race can be, and what crazy things could happen if power got into the wrong hands or tragedy caused the population to panic. Weird right??

Anyway, I hope everyone has the best weekend! Mine is going to be full of photoshoots, friends, fun, and hopefully more movies 🙂
