In case you missed my post a few weeks ago about how to celebrate the Kentucky Derby, here is some more outfit inspiration for y’all! Us Southern girls get excited for Derby Day WAY in advance, and picking the perfect outfit is huge. One of the reasons being that everyone starts buying about a month in advance from the big day, so the good hats start selling out fast! This hat I’m wearing in this post, for example, sold out this morning before I had a chance to post (luckily, there are some similar ones out there). If you’re going to a Derby Party, or lucky enough to actually be going to the Kentucky Derby, it’s time to plan your outfit!
I’m so excited to partner with Draper James again to show you some more Derby Day Style! Last year, I chose a floral dress and small fascinator for my outfit inspiration post, so I decided to do something a little different this year! I love graphic tees, they’re my go-to for days when I want to be comfy but cute, so I decided to rock this “Hold Your Horses” tee. See more of her collection below!
If you’re still looking for a hat, here are a few of my favorites! Remember, they’re selling like hot cakes so be sure to snag it once you find the right one!
It’s now become a bit of a tradition for the Austin blogger gals to get together and share our favorite looks for the holidays and I’m obsessed! It can be hard to schedule something for so many girls, so not everyone is always able to make it, but we always have fun. This time, we decided to have a little picnic to show our picks for the perfect Easter brunch outfit.
I’ve said this about my Austin crew before, but I love how different each of our styles are. There are a couple of us who have similar styles and we laugh about how we need to make sure we don’t wear the same thing to these shoots (Janna and I have this problem haha, I love her J. Crew dress!) but for the most part it’s not an issue. I chose this adorable cobalt dress and paired it with matching tassel earrings and a white patent leather clutch.I feel like a have a pretty eclectic style, but I let my little Southern prepster come out in full force for holidays that call for it like Easter or Derby Day.
